Misfit debuts Command smartwatch, battery lasts a whole year

Misfit had quite the adventure this year with its first smartwatch dubbed the Vapor. While it was first announced in January 2017, it took nearly the whole year for it to release, after some changes being implemented in the process. Now, the firm is announcing its latest smartwatch, the Command, which offers a more traditional look, but still packs some smart features.

As you can tell from the image, the watch face isn't digital and sports physical hands that give it a look that is akin to most stylish watches today. Despite its simple look, it can track your activity during the day, sleep at night, and also alert you with notifications that might be incoming to your smartphone. Perhaps in a bit of a twist, the smartwatch doesn't rely on a rechargeable battery and instead makes use of a standard battery that needs to be replaced yearly. Those that are in the habit of keeping their watch on them at all times will be happy to know that it is waterproof up to 50 meters.

The Command arrives in four variants with Black Steel, Black Copper, Navy Blue, and Stainless Steel. The watch starts at $149.99 and is now available for pre-order from the Misfit's website.
