Thus far in 2025, the 50501 Movement organized four protests at the Mississippi State Capitol Building: on Feb. 5; President's Day, Feb. 17; on March 4; and again, on April 5. Four hundred protesters encountered opposition from anti-protesters at the most recent event.
Th 50501 (Fifty-Fifty-One) Movement was formed through various social media platforms under the hashtag #50501, which stands for 50 protests, 50 states and one day.
The organizers are in opposition to Trump's goals and policies and cuts that DOGE is making to government agencies under Musk's guidance.
