Hundreds gathered for a public Safety Town hall last night hosted by City State's Attorney Ivan Bates.

The Focus of the meeting was juvenile crime and possible solutions and in attendance was community leader Pastor PM Smith who we spoke with this morning to weigh in on if any progress was made at the event.

Smith told us, "absolutely as i said before he (Ivan Bates) is accessible, he's available and he's a man of accountability."

Smith told us seven hundred people there last night and every question asked got very specific and direct answers.

One area Smith was concerned was the absence of officials from the Department of Juveniles Services, telling us

"DJS was invited but did not show up, how are you going to talk about juvenile crime and juvenile behavior and you invite the Department of Juvenile Services but they don't show up."
