CORVALLIS — The Oregon State Beavers are headed back to Omaha.

No. 8 OSU beat No. 9 Florida State, 14-10, in the third and deciding game of the Corvallis Super Regional at Goss Stadium. After a wild, back-and-forth weekend, the Beavers (47-14-1) are now set to make their first College World Series appearance since 2018.

This marks the eighth time in program history that the Beavers have reached Omaha. They are chasing their fourth-ever national title after winning it all in 2006, 2007 and 2018.

Oregon State busted open the super regional finale with a seven-run first inning in which it batted around and got back-to-back homers from Canon Reeder and Carson McEntire. As the game wore on, Trent Caraway, Gavin Turley and Tyce Peterson also launched homers.

Caraway’s third-inning grand slam busted the game open for the Beavers.

After once trailing 14-3, the Seminoles chipped away at OSU's lead in the late innings and had the tying run in the hole in the top of the ninth. But Nelson Keljo struck out Alex Lodise to end the game and trigger a raucous celebration on the Goss infield.

Florida State, which beat the Beavers on June 7 thanks to a stellar outing from All-American left-hander Jamie Arnold, ends its season at 42-16.

The College World Series is set to begin June 13 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha. The best-of-3 championship series is set to begin June 21.

With the Beavers three outs away from a trip to Omaha, Zach Kmatz stayed on the hill for Oregon State to open the ninth inning. Kmatz gave up back-to-back singles to open the frame, though. After he got Jaxson West to ground out, Kmatz was replaced by lefty Nelson Keljo with one out and runners on second and third.

Brody DeLamielleure ground out and drove in a run, and Gage Harrelson followed with an RBI double to make it 14-10.

Keljo buckled down, though, and struck out FSU's Alex Lodise to end the game and send Oregon State to the College World Series.

Florida State hard-throwing right-hander Peyton Prescott came on to face OSU's 8-9-1 hitters in the seventh. Prescott thew 33 pitches during FSU's June 7 win over the Beavers.

He lasted just seven pitches this evening, though, and was forced to exit the game due to an apparent injury. Connor Hults took over in place of Prescott and struck out Trent Caraway to end the inning.

AJ Hutcheson returned to the mound for his second inning of work and was greeted with a leadoff single up the middle from Max Williams.

Myles Bailey followed with a two-run homer to cut the Beavers' lead to 14-8. Bailey is now a triple away from the cycle.

Hucheson responded by working two quick outs. But Hunter Carns chased him from the game with a single through the right side.

Freshman right-hander Zach Kmatz came on to replace Hutcheson and got the final out without further incident.

Bottom of the 5th inning — Oregon State 14, Florida State 6

Aiva Arquette punched a one-out single through the left side for his second hit of the day. That's all OSU got in the fifth, though.

Eric Segura ran into trouble as he issued a full-count walk to Myles Bailey, and then another full-count walk to Drew Faurot two batters later. That spelled the end of Segura's day.

Sidewinding right-hander AJ Hutcheson took over with two on and one out.

Hutcheson struggled out of the gate, too. He surrendered a single to the first batter he saw, Hunter Carns. Jaxson West followed with a sac fly to drive in a run and cut the Beavers' lead to 14-5.

Two batters later, Gage Harrelson lined an RBI single to make it 14-6.

Hutcheson avoided further damage as he got Alex Lodise to fly out to the left field warning track and end the inning.

Bottom of the 4th inning — Oregon State 14, Florida State 4

Tyce Peterson got in on the fun with a solo homer — Oregon State's fifth longball of the day — to push the lead to 14-4.

Chase Williams singled to give FSU two on with two out. Gage Harrelson followed with a single of his own to load the bases. Then, Alex Lodise drove in a run on an infield single as OSU third baseman Trent Caraway tried to tag a runner heading to third, but missed.

Eric Segura got out of the jam one batter later, though, with a swinging strikeout of Max Williams.

Bottom of the 3rd inning — Oregon State 13, Florida State 3

Jacob Krieg walked, Canon Reeder was hit by a pitch and Carson McEntire walked to load the bases with nobody out.

That set the stage for Trent Caraway, who launched a massive grand slam to bust the game open and push OSU's lead to 11-3.

Aiva Arquette followed with a single, and then Gavin Turley launched a towering two-run homer off the center field batter's eye.

Top of the 3rd inning — Oregon State 7, Florida State 3

Eric Segura took over on the mound for Oregon State, replacing starter James DeCremer.

Although he displayed a sharp fastball over the course of two innings, DeCremer was tagged for two costly homers.

Segura gave up a leadoff single to Jamie Lodise, but then he rolled Max Williams into a 6-4-3 double play to give OSU back some momentum. Myles Bailey followed with a double ball.

But Segura retired Cal Fisher to end the inning.

Bottom of the 2nd inning — Oregon State 7, Florida State 3

Wilson Weber reached on an infield single for OSU. But AJ Singer rolled into an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play.

Then, Wilson Weber was hit with a pitch to load the bases.

The next batter, AJ Singer drove home a run on a 6-4 fielder's choice. Tyce Peterson and Jacob Kreig followed with back-to-back RBI singles to give OSU a 3-2 lead.

Canon Reeder followed with a towering three-run homer to make it 6-2 and send the home crowd into a frenzy.

Carson McEntire, making his first start for OSU since May 17, followed with another homer to make it 7-2.

That spelled the end of the day for FSU starter Wes Mendes. Left-hander Payton Manca took over on the hill as Oregon State turned the lineup over.

Trent Caraway, batting for the second time this inning, drew a walk.
