Time Products returns to TFWA Asia Pacific with updated Sekonda watch portfolio

Sekonda is set to reveal updated and new styles, with an eye on the Asian market

Time Products UK will launch fashion and smart watch styles for its Sekonda brand at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Conference & Exhibition in Singapore, 13-16 May (Level 1, Q11).

Back at the industry event after a four-year hiatus, Time Products UK said its focus in 2023 was on returning its global travel retail business to pre-pandemic levels. Now its sights are set on the Asian market.

The company noted recent inflight listings for Sekonda products with Vietnam Airlines, Kris Shop by Singapore Airlines and newcomer Emirates. New collaborations include King Power in Hong Kong, Eraman in Malaysia, Jakarta Duty Free with ARI and Hyderabad Duty Free in India.

Five Sekonda ranges – Monica, Taylor, Margot, Moon Phase, Smart – are new or have been extended for 2024.

Classic elegance: Sekonda Monica watches are available in three plated options

Sekonda Monica Ladies is the bestselling range and now features larger cases and stone-set bezel and bracelet styles in gold, rose gold and silver plated options. The rectangle shape has a two-tone, ion-plated silver and gold alloy case with white dial and roman numerals on the face.

The Sekonda Taylor range offers various colourways, silver alloy case and stainless steel bracelet. A rainbow dial option is a bestseller in travel retail.

Sekonda Margot is a new addition to the ladies offer and is available in three colourways: black alloy case, stone bezel and stainless steel bracelet with black dial; rose gold alloy case, stone bezel with silver dial; and silver alloy case, stone bezel and white dial.

According to Time Products UK, its Sekonda watches are well positioned in the affordable luxury and fashion watch categories

Sekonda Armstrong Moon Phase is a new range for men, with three colourways: rose gold, gold and silver alloy cases with a silver-white dial. The watch features a Moon Phase sub-dial, which tracks the Moon through a 29.5 day lunar cycle; printed moons and stars; tachymeter; a black minute track; and day and date sub-dials. The croc-grain leather strap is interchangeable between brown or black and the watches are up to 50m water resistant.

The Sekonda Active Plus Smart range has been updated to include new entry-level Track and Motion Plus with a black or gold plastic case housing a 1.3in round, fully interactive HD touchscreen display. It allows users to track steps, distance, calories and sleep, with a continuous heart rate and warning monitor. A new Sekonda Smart-branded app allows wearers to access their data at all times.

Time Products UK Head of International Myalee Sofield said: “Sekonda goes from strength to strength across our travel retail channel partners, from airlines and airports to new cruise listings. Sekonda has always had a great reputation in the Asia market, and it is well positioned in the affordable luxury and fashion watch categories with a broad appeal for travellers all over the region.” ✈
